ECC’s program of beautiful choral music offers a reflection on the eternal mysteries of life, death and love. The choir will perform the expressive Requiem Mass in C Minor by Luigi Cherubini, accompanied by a 26-piece orchestra.

Come to hear the intimate link between the lyric voice and string instruments. The contralto Sydney Frodsham and countertenor Ian Sabourin, accompanied by Ensemble Obiora conducted by Christopher Gaudreault, will perform works by works by Walker, Haydn, Schubert, Elgar and Price, among others.

Experience the magic as classical and popular music unite in a symphony of melodies, captivating and delighting all in attendance. Pieces will include I Dreamed a Dream from Les Misérables, You Raise Me Up, Lord of the Dance as well as the majestic Beethoven’s 7th Symphony.

Viva Mexico Mariachi will perform as guests of The Ontario Pops Orchestra’s Hispanic / Latin American Heritage Month Gala Concert. This concert will be a celebration of Latin Culture with performances by the orchestra and special guests Flamenco Dancers Compañia Carmen Romero, Tango dancers Daniel & Ana, Viva Mexico Mariachi and Tenor Romulo Delgado.

For its opening concert, Ensemble Obiora welcomes the young and dynamic,French conductor Samy Rachid. Concertmaster, Tanya Charles Iveniuk, will perform the beautiful Violin Concerto No. 1 by Florence Price.
